20 Beautiful Blonde Balayage Hair Looks

Who doesn’t love the idea of looking like a beach babe with sunkissed blonde hair? I sure do! But the thought of bleaching your hair blonde and then dealing with dark grown out roots seems like too much effort to many. The best solution for this? A balayage look, of course! A blonde balayage done on blonde or brown hair creates a work of art that is full of depth, dimension, and movement. But, the best part about going for this color look is that it grows out very naturally and you don’t need to touch it up regularly!

Now, if you don’t want to drop your precious coin at an expensive salon and want to go the DIY way, here’s what you need to do…

How To A Blonde Balayage At Home

What You Need

  • Balayage kit
  • Rubber gloves
  • Paddle brush
  • Hair coloring brush
  • Sectioning clip
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Toner (optional)

What To Do

  1. Mix the dye in your balayage kit according to the instructions given on the box.
  2. Put on your rubber gloves.
  3. Section away the hair at the top of your head by rolling it into a bun and clipping it up.
  4. Use your hair coloring brush to coat the bristles of your paddle brush with dye.
  5. Run this brush through a section of your hair from the midsection to the ends of your hair.
  6. Flip the brush and run it through the same section of hair, but from the back.
  7. Run the brush a couple of times over the ends as they require more dye than the top section of your hair.
  8. Keep applying dye to your brush and running it through your hair until you’ve covered all the sections. Make sure you stagger the points where you start applying the dye from (you can go higher up on some sections and start from the midsections on the others) so that your balayage looks more blended with your natural hair color.
  9. Unclip the top section of your hair and apply dye to it the same way.
  10. Leave the dye on for the processing time indicated on the box.
  11. Wash off all the dye with a color safe shampoo and conditioner.
  12. You will need to use a toner on your hair if it ends up having brassy or orange undertones.

And that’s how easy it is to balayage your hair blonde from the comfort of your own home! So, let’s look at the best and most elegant ways that you can style your blonde balayage…
